Meet your teacher.
You don’t know Jack.
Jack Paltry cut his teeth on the open seas wondering who pays so much to move this stuff. Comforting people about money is what got us into this mess. He’d rather tell you the truth.
He’s spent more than a decade putting his own money in the market — and not just buy-and-hold ETFs. Foreign currency, futures, options, commodities, and yes, even stocks. Which is exactly why he’s not going to tell you to do any of that.
Class rules
- Nobody’s getting rich quick. Not here, not anywhere. Day-trading on your phone is a video game where the loser pays real money.
- Money is a tool. This class is tool maintenance. You want it working when you actually need it, and that only happens if you know how it works.
- You don’t need a finance degree. The industry makes this stuff complicated on purpose, because confused people buy things. Plain English is free.
- Facts get sourced. Opinions get labeled. If I’m telling you what I think, I’ll say so. If I’m telling you what happened, I’ll show you where it came from.
Two ways to stay in class
The book is the full course, nine units, start to finish. The newsletter shows up when there’s something worth learning.
Not financial advice. I’m a teacher, not your advisor.
